Big Girl Potty
It's been six days now that Kynzie has been going in the potty, with only a few accidents. At first we were "bribing" her with candy but now she forgets to even ask for it. She doesn't have to be reminded to go either. We've been keeping her naked and keeping the potty in the living room. Next step: panties! She's so proud of herself...what a big girl!

Kynzie's First Haircut
She was very excited about going to get a haircut.
Once we got there she began to get skeptical. But she quickly got over it. She got to sit in a really neat pink car and wear a pretty pink cape!
She drove the car while she got her haircut.
There was a yellow car at the booth next to hers that she wanted to sit it. We kept reminding her that after her haircut she could sit in the yellow car.
I was very impressed by how well she sat still.
Getting her bangs cut.
She smiled when she looked in the mirror and saw her pretty new do.

Kynzie's First Real Owie
Kynzie was playing with her giant stuffed dog on the couch and fell and hit her face on the coffee table. There was so much blood!
She's so tough. She screamed for a minute but pretty much stopped crying when Daddy picked her up. I think Ryan & I were more traumatized than she was.
All that blood and yet such a little gash!

Sweet Daddy Snuggles
This is what I found upon returning downstairs after my shower. How come he never falls asleep that easy for me?! It seems like the kids are always on their best behavior when I'm not around. I worked today and Kynzie slept 10:30, two hours later than normal. And Ryker slept in his swing from the time I left at 5:45 until almost 11!!

Dress Up
Kynz was attempting to read her brother a book or two. He clearly wasn't too happy with the situation. He normally loves laying under the little play gym, grabbing and batting at the little animals.
I put Ryker in his bassinet while doing chores and came back a few minutes later to find him sleeping on his tummy. The last few days he's really mastered rolling from back to front. If you lay him on the floor he'll be 2 or 3 feet away from where he started in no time!

Water Play
We have a little pool out front that Kynzie loves to play in. She mostly enjoys pouring water into cups and watering buckets. And she loves putting on her pretty swimsuit!

Painting
In need of some fun indoor fun, we decided to bust out the paint for the first time. Kynzie had so much fun. Her favorite was the purple paint.

Every time she ended up with a little bit of paint on her hands she would ask us to clean it off. She really doesn't like her hands dirty. So Ryan attempted to explain that it was okay to have paint on your hands, that it was fun. He continued by painting her hand so that she could make a hand print. For a minute I thought it was going to cause a meltdown. She thought the hand print was cool but of course immediately wanted the paint off. Silly girl.

Fourth Of July
We went to Fort Vancouver for fireworks...they claim to have "the biggest show this side of the Mississippi." Ryker stayed with Grandpa and we were excited to take Kynzie. I even showed her videos of fireworks before we went so that she would know what to expect and not be scared. The last shuttle from the mall left at 8:30 and the show started at 10:00. Since Kynzie's bedtime is normally around 8:30, we had a pretty tired kid on our hands. As soon as we got there she started running one million miles per hour....after all, she didn't want to fall asleep. She even got to eat some ice cream which is out of the ordinary for her. What a treat!
Ryan held Kynzie up so she could see all the excitement. He had told her before to "not be scared", so once the show started she said over and over again "not scared, not scared." I'm not sure she understands what "scared" means.
This $5 light toy was well worth the price. She thought it was so neat.
Overall, we had a pretty good time, but didn't make it home until nearly midnight. We were all exhausted. Keeping up with Kynzie was quite a handful. We've officially decided not to do the fort again until the kids are old enough to handle staying up so late, and not run around like crazy uncontrollable little monkeys!

New Outside Toys
Kynzie really likes her new bubble mower. Funny thing is, I don't know that she even noticed the bubbles. She likes the sound it makes when you push it. Unfortunately shortly after I opened it and brought it outside I had to put it away because it was causing fights. Must be an awesome toy!
Mommy: "Kynzie, watcha doin?"
Kynzie: "I'm swiddding Mommmmy!!"
(She answers with a "duh" attitude)
Although there's plenty to do outside, our little artist wanted to color.
