Since Ryker was too little to enjoy cake and presents on his actual birthday, we celebrated the anniversary of the day he came home, which was also his due date, or "adjusted birthday" in preemie terms.
Grandma gave Ryker a really neat ball.
Kynzie thought she should help open presents.
Ryker was intrigued by his new push/riding toy.
He decided this box would be a good chair.
At first he wasn't quite sure what to do with his cupcake....
Kynzie overheard me talking about going to the beach (a trip we're planning for summer) and decided she wanted to go. She came downstairs all "dressed" and proclaimed that she was ready to go to the beach.
"Mommy, I'm all ready to go to the beach! I have on my bathing suit, panties and my hat!" she excitedly said.
We ate some delicious Chinese food for dinner and Ryker loved his crab puff.
But he made such a mess of himself that while trying to clean him with a baby wipe it was quickly apparent that the boy needed a bath! So during a quick bath in the sink, Kynzie decided he needed a toy and brought him this purple cup. I filled it with a little water (it has a slow-leaking hole in the bottom) and handed it to him and he apparently decided he was thirsty!! Gulp, gulp, gulp! He did amazingly well with it! Who would've known?!
We were surprised to wake up with snow cover this morning. We didn't get much; just enough to play in and to be gone by night. Kynzie sure was excited about it though! It was a battle to get her inside, even with frozen little hands.
Ryker had his very first bath in the big tub. He was not nearly as excited about it as we were. He calmed down a little bit after we turned the water off but he still wasn't too sure about it. And once he accidentally did a face plant, bath time was over. Keeping my fingers crossed for better luck next time!
