Dress Up

Kynz was attempting to read her brother a book or two. He clearly wasn't too happy with the situation. He normally loves laying under the little play gym, grabbing and batting at the little animals.

"Mommy, I'm pretty!"

Sometimes I still can't get over what a girly girl she is.

I put Ryker in his bassinet while doing chores and came back a few minutes later to find him sleeping on his tummy. The last few days he's really mastered rolling from back to front. If you lay him on the floor he'll be 2 or 3 feet away from where he started in no time!

Wishing Flowers & Food

She loves wishing flowers. She was just trying to show Jonathan but he couldn't help but blow on it.

Eating Jonathan's PB&J. I had made her pancakes....and they decided to switch meals.

Water Play

We have a little pool out front that Kynzie loves to play in. She mostly enjoys pouring water into cups and watering buckets. And she loves putting on her pretty swimsuit!

Painting

In need of some fun indoor fun, we decided to bust out the paint for the first time. Kynzie had so much fun. Her favorite was the purple paint.

Every time she ended up with a little bit of paint on her hands she would ask us to clean it off. She really doesn't like her hands dirty. So Ryan attempted to explain that it was okay to have paint on your hands, that it was fun. He continued by painting her hand so that she could make a hand print. For a minute I thought it was going to cause a meltdown. She thought the hand print was cool but of course immediately wanted the paint off. Silly girl.

Fourth Of July

We went to Fort Vancouver for fireworks...they claim to have "the biggest show this side of the Mississippi." Ryker stayed with Grandpa and we were excited to take Kynzie. I even showed her videos of fireworks before we went so that she would know what to expect and not be scared. The last shuttle from the mall left at 8:30 and the show started at 10:00. Since Kynzie's bedtime is normally around 8:30, we had a pretty tired kid on our hands. As soon as we got there she started running one million miles per hour....after all, she didn't want to fall asleep. She even got to eat some ice cream which is out of the ordinary for her. What a treat!

Kynzie loves riding on Daddy's shoulders. But Daddy's shoulders don't care for it too much.

It was only a brief moment before she got back up and started running again.

Ryan held Kynzie up so she could see all the excitement. He had told her before to "not be scared", so once the show started she said over and over again "not scared, not scared." I'm not sure she understands what "scared" means.

This $5 light toy was well worth the price. She thought it was so neat.

Overall, we had a pretty good time, but didn't make it home until nearly midnight. We were all exhausted. Keeping up with Kynzie was quite a handful. We've officially decided not to do the fort again until the kids are old enough to handle staying up so late, and not run around like crazy uncontrollable little monkeys!
