This is what we call her “cheesy” face.
Still so small.
One of the nurses gave Kynzie a sticker one night and now as soon as we pull into the parking lot she’s shouting “Sticker, Sticker!” A few of the nurses bring them in and leave them in his chart (which is more like a huge novel).
Kynzie was (finally) able to touch Ryker. She was really excited and kept asking for “more.” Hopefully she’ll feel the same way when he comes home!
After 21 days we were finally able to hold Ryker again. It was the 4th time I got to hold him and only the 2nd time for Ryan- they don’t normally let us switch.
The list of words that she says would be impossible to write down it’s gotten so long. She still loves to say “uh-oh.” She really enjoys pointing at things and saying what it is, as if she really wants you to know that she knows what to call it! She’s constantly repeating names, “Mommy, Daddy, Mommy, Daddy”…although her version of Mommy sounds more like “Monny".” She sure is a chatterbox these days!
Ryker sure does look small compared to this teddy bear.

On the far right is his nitric oxide machine and to the left of that is his ventilator. The screen at the top left shows his heart rate, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation. Underneath the monitor is all the pumps that dispense fluids, medications and milk.
Ryker sure looks little compared to Daddy’s big hand.
He was opening his eyes for us tonight.
The H1N1 restrictions were finally lifted and Kynz is now allowed in the NICU. We took her a little too close to bedtime. Although we know she’s too little to truly understand, it was nice for her to get to see her little brother.
