Hide-N-Seek

Kynzie's started playing hide-n-seek! It's so cute, and she knows how silly it is.

Yet Another Day At The Park!!!

We spent yet another day at the park! We walked to a park that's about 2 miles from our house, and has a good amount of shade.

She loves sticks....There could be one stick in an entire park and I guarantee you, she would find it. She took off running with Erica & Kiev's blanket...

I love love love this picture! She was having a blast on the swing....she seems to enjoy it much more now than she used to.

Sunshine, Clapping & Kisses!

We got some (much needed) sunshine today. The high temperature here was 83 degrees! May not seem too warm to most of you, but that's only one degree below record-breaking heat! The sunshine meant we just had to go out and play! We went downtown to Jameson Square park so Kynzie could play in the water!

Silly Mommy forgot to put a swim diaper on her, so she had quite the large behind!

I changed her into a swim diaper and she had a much easier time walking without the extra weight behind her!

Kynzie fell asleep in her stroller on the walk to the bus stop, and Ryan held her the whole bus ride and then carried her almost half a mile home....she gets heavy!

Kynzie has a new found infatuation with the mirror. She talks to herself, waves, touches (which explains all the tiny fingerprints on the mirror)...

She's started clapping a lot the last few days. She does it nearly on cue when she hears the word "yay."

I've also been attempting to teach her kisses. I think she's starting to understand. She puts her wide open mouth on mine, it's pretty funny. She thinks so too. And before I know it, my face is covered in Kynzie slobber.

Piggy Tails!

I managed to pull Kynzie's hair into pigtails! We went to breakfast this morning at our favorite neighborhood cafe and Kynzie ate a ton of scrambled eggs and blueberries! She also had fun yelling loudly. Thank goodness it's a loud restaurant!

Visiting Friends

My friend Ariel came over today, and we went to visit our friend Kelly. Kynzie had a blast playing in her backyard. She has chickens, and I was concerned that they might peck Kynzie if she got too close to them, but Kelly assured me that she wouldn't even be able to catch them. But she sure tried!

She always has fun finding interesting things on the ground!

My little flower girl!

Clapping!

Kynzie had fun playing with Kelly!

Chase The Baby!

I was chasing Kynzie around with the camera, so please excuse the shakiness of the video! This is one of her new favorite games to play, although she's normally a lot more giggly. It's a lot easier to make her laugh now. Today, while we were on the bus she kept trying to stick the bus ticket in my mouth, and when I'd say "ick" and move my head away, she'd crack up!

Easter

We went to Greg & Sandy's for Easter dinner. We enjoyed turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce! Kynzie sure did eat a lot, and she loved it all.

Grandma & Grandpa got Kynzie a present! I wonder what it is...

It's a little lamb!

While there, I learned that Kynzie has learned how to climb stairs!

Sunny Day

The weather cleared up this afternoon just in time for my work day to be over, so Kynzie and I took a stroll (actually, I carried her!) to the neighborhood park. I think that since we've frequented the park so much lately that she knows what "park" means. She got really excited when I said told her we were going to the park.

She was fascinated with the mural on the wall. She was touching it and pretending to draw on it with a piece of bark dust.

She found a stick! She carried it around for quite awhile.

This is her Frankenstein walk. She does it when she's walking on uneven ground and trying hard to keep her balance.

Art Class

I took Kynzie to an "Art Babies" class at the recreation center. I was extremely disappointed, as I had assumed that they would be given edible-craft type things to do, such as dough and clay, or maybe some baby friendly crayons and markers. But I was in shock as the teacher brought out paint, glitter and glue. I was practically chasing her around and before I could stop her, she had a mouthful of purple paint. Her mouth and her hands were completely purple and it wasn't long before her precious face was covered in glitter. I think she had fun, and we have another one next Thursday. I can only hope that the teacher keeps her word of "the first class will be very messy, but then we will explore some edible clay and jello", which to me, sounds much more age-appropriate.

Jameson Square Park

We went out and enjoyed the weather again today. First we went to the shoe store to get lil miss walker a pair of soft soled sandals. They're a little too big for her, but she doesn't have a problem walking in them.

Then we went to the park by our house and Kynzie ran around and explored the hay.

After the park we went to get a burrito- which was for me, of course. Kynzie only got some tortilla to eat! But she sure loved playing with the dinosaur at the restaurant!

After lunch, we met our friends at the most exciting stop of the day, Jameson Square Park downtown. First Kynzie explored the grass.

But it wasn't long before she found her way down to the tidepool fountain. I wasn't sure how she would react so I hadn't fussed with putting her bathing suit on.

She loved it!

So after a few minutes of letting her play, I decided to put her bathing suit on. But she was so upset that I took her out of the water, she wasn't having any of that! So she played naked for about 5 minutes, and then I was finally able to put her suit on her so she'd stop being mistaken for a boy!!

She was having so much fun, it was like a big bath! I wasn't able to catch it on camera, but she was running around in the water! She would get going so fast that she'd fall into the water. But she kept getting up and doing it again!

Kynzie got excited when she thought Kiev was going to join her!

Waterfront Park

Stacey and I took Kynzie to Waterfront park downtown today. It's finally looking like spring here! It was over 75 degrees out today! Despite that she was in desperate need of a nap, she had a lot of fun. It was her first time walking in the grass. She just stood it for a few minutes before actually walking, and she seemed extremely excited.

She really likes to carry things while she walks.

She looks so small next to Stacey.

I kept trying to lead her in the other direction, but she just kept going toward the street. I think it was because it was down hill and the grass wasn't as deep.

She was exploring the leaf with her mouth. Luckily, she didn't actually eat any.

She was so happy to be in the grass! Although, getting sunscreen on her was quite a fight. We're going back to the park today, and will probably go tomorrow too.

Going To The Mall

We went to the mall today, and since it was really sunny outside I tried to put sunglasses on Kynzie, but she wasn't having that!

A lady at Macy's gave Kynzie this wand to play with. She sure loved it. She was swinging it everywhere (including in our faces), and held onto it for a long time. She also wasn't very content in the stroller for a long period of time, so she got to walk a little bit in one of the stores. She sure thought that was fun!

Sweet Climbing Baby

She was being super sweet and cuddly today...

and mischevious! She can completely crawl up onto the couch, without using anything, and it's now one of her favorite places to play. She likes to crawl up there and then walk back and forth, and get into the stuff on the side table. Problem is, she's not too skilled at getting off the couch!
